The last part of creating an application is to test the application, fix the bugs and set the properties for the final build. One of the main bugs is to fix to application crashing when a non-number is added to the program. Also, the application has a habit of refreshing too easily, thus, asking a new question when the active question has not been answered.

There is a trick to drawing to the canvas. Using OnPaint will allow the form to be repainted every time the form is refreshed. If OnPaint is not used, then what is drawn will disappear when part of the form is moved off screen or the form refreshes. In a deck of cards, there are 4 suits and 13 ranks per suit.
The suits are (Diamonds, Spades, Hearts, Clubs)

We can create a multi-dimensional array from an array of suits and an array of ranks.

At this point in the tutorial series, we can start putting programs together from the previous tutorials.

We will use the classic game Guess My Number. It is a very boring game to play, by today’s standards, but programing the game can be interesting.

These are the requirements of the game:

The game will prompt the user to select one of three games. The games are 1-10, 1-100, 1-1000. If the user does not enter the right selection, the program will display the selection again. Once the user selects the game, the program will randomize the number and prompt the user for a guess. The guess will be checked with the computer’s number. If the guess was not correct, the computer will prompt the user to guess higher or lower. If the guess was correct, the computer will display the number of times the user guessed, and the game will be over. The computer will prompt the user to play again. If the user does want to play again, the program will return to the game menu. If the user does not want to play again, the computer will quit the program.

Before we get to the code, there is are built-in functions called clrscr() and UpperCase(). Clrscr() clears the screen and needs the crt unit added to the unit section to work. UpperCase() converts the text to uppercase and needs the sysutils unit loaded into the unit section to work. UpperCase() is used to prevent the program from being case sensitive. The computer sees “A” differently than “a”. By converting the case, the user can enter both lower and uppercase answers and the computer will respond to the input the same way.

Loops are useful for having the computer repeat commands over and over. There are three types of loops for Free Pascal. The loops include the while loop, repeat until and the for loop. A YouTube user, from the Azerbaijan writes: I can’t divide numbers in sentences. For example I write "BAKU123". I want to divide "123" from "BAKU" There are a few things to note in this program. length(string) returns the length of the string.  For example:  sentence := 'BAKU123'  length(sentence) will return 7 because there are seven characters in the string. ord() returns the ASCII value of the character. This is one of the more confusing programs that I have come across. First I do not totally understand what the requirements for the program are. However I think that the program comes close enough for the user to make modifications to meet the requirements. This type of question can be typical for the books used for teaching programming languages. I have come across several books that put projects in the end of the chapter, where the projects are impossible to complete the way the book wants it done. The user, from the United Kingdom (given the way the town is spelled, most likely form Wales) writes: Hello, Could you please do some video tutorials on using loops to show if a number is greater than the rest of the numbers entered. Write a program to ask the user to enter 12 integers and displays the largest integer, the smallest integer, it will terminate if a negative one number is entered, but it will work if the first value is that negative value. JavaScript is a language designed to work with webpages. JavaScript was created by Netscape and is not to be confused with the Java Programming Language developed by Sun Microsystems. JavaScript has a syntax similar to the C Language group. JavaScript works on all modern browsers including IE, FireFox, Safari, Opera and other. JavaScripts are put in the body of the HTML code. Thousands of sites that have free JavaScripts available for placement into your webpages. - Just be careful of what you download -
It is important to know HTML before working with JavaScript. For this tutorial series, NotePad++ will be used. It is a Free download at:  http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net

This video tutorial contains several parts:

1) For students who have their research completed, but are having trouble organizing the paper, there are several helpful templates that can be downloaded for free from Microsoft. These templates include book reports, MLA and APA citations, theses, and term papers. The templates are already formatted and some are as easy as filling in the blank.

2) For students who need to get some research. This part shows how to get information from links, books, and sites quickly.

3) Once the paper is being completed. The student can use the built in thesaurus and dictionally to find the proper words. This section also shows the readability statistics (grade level) and spelling and grammar options.

The previous tutorial covered inserting movie files into Word 2007. We found that video file formates other that AVI did not work well and were difficult to work with. This tutorial will show a technique on how to make embedding videos into Word easier to work with. This tutorial will use embedding Youtube videos as an example of this technique. Here is the technique used, in this tutorial, for embedding videos into Microsoft Word 2007. * Open PowerPoint * Create 2 blank slides * In Slide 2, insert the controller for the video - For example, Apple QuickTime Controller 2.0 for Quicktime movies and Shockwave Flash Object for YouTube. * Place and resize the controller * Set the URL into the controller - For Youtube videos - remove the watch? and replace the = with a / * Get a screenshot of the video and place the screenshot into Slide 1 * Change the Advance Slide Properties (Animations Tab) to Automatically after 00:00 * Save the PowerPoint * Close PowerPoint * Go to Word * Go to Insert Object and select the PowerPoint Presentation as the object * Word now has the Youtube video (or other video) embedded in it.

As the idea of the digital document progresses movie files becomes more important. Word has features and settings that allow video (movie) files to be embedded into Word documents. The AVI file format works the best with Word. Other file formats can be used. QuickTime, MPEG-4, and Flash SWF are some formats that can be used. These formats are difficult to work with. They require the use of the developer tab, design mode, and Active X controls with the correct properties settings. In many cases, Word will require that the document be saved as a Macro Enabled Document. Once saved, Word's Trust Center setting may have to be changed to allow the macro document to be modified. If you wish to use a large number of videos that are not AVI, then getting a video converter would be a good idea.

The basketball team has taken the state title. I wish to make a poster to illustrate that hard work and teamwork has made us #1. I can make a simple poster with the team picture to illustrate this concept to the whole student body. Posters can be printed cheaper than buying posters from the store. If the printer does not support tabloid size paper or poster board, the file can be converted to PDF and sent to a local print shop to be printed there. I called a local print shop and found that they can print a poster on tabloid size poster board for less than $2 USD. Teachers can use this concept to make their own posters to decorate and display positive or educational messages in the classroom.
